Don't take me wrong, I am critical. I like this and many other pictures that you have, however I wounder if the picture could stand on its own without the special effects. I like the effects, they do work well, but this picture feels boring to me without the old-timy effect. I think it would be more interesting if it were a lying on a desk infront of a rainy window. Or if a different angle with aditional subjects was tried. Perhaps closer to the ground and nearer the rock in the water. Ex... You are the first person that I have been tempted to put on my watch list outside of people I know.

I think it would have never been uploaded if I hadn't added the texture. The colors were drab and washed out. It was really depressing but most of my work that is selling, not here but other sites, is textured.
I like the painterly feel of adding a texture, granted, it's not for everyone, but it is for me.. for now

The mood is still 'bleak', with a ray of hope... the light across the water shows more color, and if the foreground equates to the present, while the background equates to the future - one could see that 'Rough times will give way to clear and simple in the future'.

Love the evocation of mood!
